Age is just a number for these pairs

With Amitabh Bachchan pairing up with Katrina Kaif for a film, here a list of other 'Age-no bar' collaborations in Bollywood for this year

When Nikhil Advani announced his next project 'Mehrunissa' with Big B and Katrina Kaif in the lead, not many were suprised. Bollywood heroes have always romanced younger heroines. The younger, the better. This year sees the three Khans, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn romance much younger heroines. Here's a list.

Akshay Kumar- Asin: In 'Housefull 2' Akshay teams up with Asin who is 18 years his junior. Teaming up with a senior star is nothing new for Asin who made her debut in Bollywood opposite Aamir Khan in 'Gajni'. As for Akshay, he has worked with most of the actresses from the younger lot. In 'Houseful', the star was paired opposite Deepika Padukone who is 19 years younger to him.

Shahrukh Khan- Katrina Kaif:  Despite having a 19-year age difference, the two are looking good together in the first look of Yash Raj's untitled venture. The 27-year-old actress also turned down a whopping one crore for a ramp walk because she didn't want to shuffle her dates for this film.

Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif: This is not the first time the duo has been paired together. The one and off lovers have always had very good chemistry despite their 19-year age difference. The couple will be seen on-screen together after a long haitus of four years. Their last film together was Yuvraaj (2008).Despite breaking up a year ago, the two have been in good terms and Katrina still visits Salman's family.

Saif Ali Khan-Deepika Padukone: When Saif launched his home production, he chose sixteen years younger Deepika Padukone over his lady love Kareena Kapoor in 'Love Aaj Kal'. Since then, they have been good friends and have also worked in Prakash Jha's political thriller 'Aarakshan'. The two are now working on Homi Adajania's 'Cocktail' and Ramesh Taurani's 'Race 2'.

Sonakshi Sinha-Akshay Kumar: The current flavour of the season Sonakshi Sinha is being paired with Akshay for 'Joker' and 'Rowdy Rathod'. Looking at Akshay, you can hardly tell that they have a 20-year age difference . As for Sonakshi, age is just a number as she will also be seen with Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt in 'Son of Sardar'.

Sonakshi Sinha-Salman Khan: Salman gave Sonakshi her first break in his home-production 'Dabangg' and was responsible for shaping up Shatrughan Sinha's daughter. Infact, Salman has taken keen interest in Sonakshi's career and the films she chooses to do and has also being responsible for making her lose weight. Now, the duo will be back with 'Dabangg2' which has already gone on floor.
