Nvidia must be making room for upcoming derivatives of its GeForce GTX 680, because there are some unusually juicy deals on the company's previous-gen GPUs today.
The most appealing is probably MSI's GeForce GTX 460 OC2, which you can nab for $119.99 shipped, or $98.99 after a mail-in rebate—with a free copy of NBA 2K11, I might add. This is actually a new variant of the GTX 460 with higher clock rates (810MHz core and 4008 MT/s memory, up from 675/3600 for the vanilla version) but a narrower memory interface (192 bits instead of 256).
Looking at the specs, I don't think the card should be much slower than the vanilla GTX 460. My only reservation is about the memory configuration, which may be similar to that of the GeForce GTX 550 Ti. (On that card, one of the three 64-bit memory controllers shoulders twice as much memory as the rest to allow for the even 1GB capacity. Considering the technical hurdles involved, the extra 256MB of RAM may be more for show than anything.) Regardless, $90 is a steal for that card, especially with regular GTX 460s still selling for $140 or more.
Looking for something more upscale? Then you may be interested in Galaxy's GeForce GTX 560 Ti "Battlefield 3 Edition," which Newegg offers for $211.49, or $186.49 after a mail-in rebate.
