Granny sues Apple for broken nose

An 83-year-old woman who broke her nose after walking into a glass door in an Apple Store is suing Apple for negligence "in allowing a clear, see-through glass wall and/or door to exist without proper warning".

A woman who broke her nose after walking into a glass door in an Apple Store is suing Apple for negligence "in allowing a clear, see-through glass wall and/or door to exist without proper warning".

The New York Post reports that 83 year-old Evelyn Paswall, of Queens, New York, walked into the glass door at Apple Long Island Store in December. Her lawyer claims that the see-through door had: "no markings on the glass, or they were inadequate".
Paswall's lawsuit claims the company failed to "senior-proof" its see-through facade.

Paswall's lawyer told the Post: "Apple wants to be cool and modern and have the type of architecture that would appeal to the tech crowd, but on the other hand, they have to appreciate the danger that this high-tech modern architecture poses to some people."

The Apple Store now has white warning strips affixed to its glass doors - although it's not clear when these appeared.
