Zeebox, the pioneering social television experience, has just got a whole lot smarter. The latest update enables you to plan your week with a seven-day programme guide.
It also adds the ability to bookmark a particular show that takes your fancy. You’ll then receive an alert when it’s about to start and you can even send push notifications to your friends to alert them, too. Log into Twitter and Facebook and you’ll never have to leave the house again.
Those familiar with Zeebox will know how the service automatically shares what you’re watching with your Facebook community. Well, that’s no longer the case with an opt-out option in your Privacy Settings. This is apparently because some Zeebox users complained about the default automatic Facebook sharing.
Earlier this year Zeebox teamed up with BSkyB to allow the TV-sharing service to be used within Sky’s existing mobile apps, namely Sky+ and Sky Go.
The Zeebox update is available through iTunes and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and via the web.
