Google Launches Account Activity Tool

Google Launches Account Activity Tool
If you spend a considerable amount of time on Google, and wish to find out just how much spent on its services, then its new Account Activity tool will be quite exciting. In a blog post, Google suggests that with this tool, users can not only monitor activities for the service that they have signed up for, but can also remain more alert if any untoward activity has been happening from their account. This service takes into account 20 Google products including Google Web and Image search, Gmail, YouTube, Google Reader, and Google Latitude among others.
The post states, "Knowing more about your own account activity also can help you take steps to protect your Google Account. For example, if you notice sign-ins from countries where you haven’t been or devices you’ve never owned, you can change your password immediately and sign up for the extra level of security provided by 2-step verification".

Users can opt for a monthly report that intimates them about details such as the number of emails that have been sent and received, the top contacts, which browsers the user has logged on from, how often the user has searched on Google, from which countries they have have logged in, and how often their YouTube videos have been viewed. It is quite an interesting tool to view, and tells you how much of your digital communication is Google-dependent.
