Google has released a video showcasing its "augmented reality" Project Glass spectacles which have phone, GPS, calendar and camera features.
The technology giant has not set a release date for the futuristic glasses but it is believed they are being tested and may be released by the end of the year.
The video shows a man waking up and looking out the window of his apartment where the glasses immediately display a weather forecast on the lens.
A text message pops up on the lenses to which he replies using voice commands. He then uses the specs to input reminders, find his way to a bookstore, check in to a café, take a photo and upload it to Google+ and make a video call to a girl.
The glasses use Google's Android operating system and are controlled with voice commands and motion sensors.
When wearing the glasses, an icon bar rests just above the line of sight and by looking upwards, the user can interact with the tools.
The Google team working on Project Glass have created a Google+ page so fans can keep up to date with developments and submit ideas about what the glasses should be able to do.
