Pebble Smartwatch: $150 ($99 pledge)
Ever have one of those moments when you feel your phone buzzing in your pocket, but when check, it's not doing anything? I call that the "phantom vibrate." A new Kickstart project, the Pebble Smartwatch, is making sure those incidents (or the ones where you hold your purse to your head to see if it’s ringing) never happen again. The watch connects to phones via Bluetooth and vibrates in a more obvious way on your wrist when a call, text or other message comes in.

The water-resistant watch has an e-paper background, making it visible in bright light, and is designed for runners, golfers and cyclers among other athletes. Android users will be able to view messages on the watch’s screen, but iPhone users won’t be able to. The Pebble made headlines recently for breaking Kickstarter’s record by raising $3.5 million in funding on it’s first day. And as of right now, they have reached $4.8 million. The goal for the project was to raise $100,000 in 40 days.
