Gary Stein, 26, did not comment on the ruling issued late Thursday, one day after his lawyers unsuccessfully sought to delay the review board by seeking an injunction in federal court in San Diego. The Marines' recommendation to administratively discharge Stein came after a 13-hour hearing and an hour of deliberation by the panel. ...

Chinese company denies claim of hacking attack

(Reuters) - A Chinese defense contractor on Saturday denied that documents posted to the Web by a computer hacker came from an intrusion of the company, as the hacker said in public statements and interviews with Reuters. China National Electronics Import & Export Corp, known as CEIEC, called the reports "totally groundless, highly subjective and defamatory" in a statement posted to its English-language website. ...

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) said it would host the files on its website, allowing people to easily track information about their local TV stations. Spending on TV ads is forecast to reach historic levels in 2012 ahead of the U.S. presidential election, as candidates blanket airwaves with commercials promoting their virtues or bashing their opponents. ...

AOL's shares jumped 37 percent to $25.16 in trading before the bell on Monday. They closed at $18.42 on Friday on the New York Stock Exchange. The Internet company said it plans to return a "significant portion of the sale proceeds" to shareholders. ...

The new Nokia Lumia phone had its first official sale day yesterday, when many stores were not open. When The New York Times' Bits Blog's Brian X. Chen checked around 3:00 pm yesterday, "nearly all 39 AT&T stores within proximity of Times Square in Manhattan were either closed for Easter Sunday or did not answer phone calls," he wrote.
